Boulos Carob Molasses or Dibs el kharrub is a thick Middle Eastern syrup made by soaking milled carob pods in water and reducing the extracted liquid. Traditionally used as an alternative to sugar, carob molasses has a rich fruity and chocolatey, sweety flavor. This product can be mixed and served with tahini or sesame paste as a dessert called “Dibs b Tahini”, used as an ingredient in sweet desserts (pancakes, waffles, cupcakes…) or as a topper for pita bread.
